Winnipeg South Junior Program - 2026 Spring Training and Tryout Camp

The Winnipeg South Junior Baseball program has a long history in the Manitoba Junior Baseball League. Junior baseball in Manitoba is considered "AAA" caliber baseball and features the premier level of competitive play for Manitoba players within a Manitoba league.

Since 1976 our program has been a part of Junior baseball in Manitoba, with a couple of short gaps due to insufficient numbers.

This year's team is open to players born in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Candidates must be from the Winnipeg South catchment area and/or be otherwise eligible to play for Winnipeg South.

Note- no metal spikes or screw in cleats allowed at indoor facilities

The Training and Tryout Camp is designed for prospective players to demonstrate their skill, and for players to get repetitions and begin to prepare for the upcoming season.

Attendance at all sessions is not mandatory, though it is recommended to attend as much as possible.

Final team formation may not occur until close to the start of the season, due to uncertainties around summer baseball commitments commonly experienced by Junior age baseball players.

It is permissible for candidates to explore other options while attending the Winnipeg South camp.
