11U and 13U Prospect Showcase Tournaments
When: July 26 - 28, 2024
Where: Portage la Prairie
In 2024, Baseball Manitoba will be hosting Prospect Showcase Tournaments for the following divisions: 11U and 13U. The purpose of these showcases is to give non AAA athletes an opportunity to develop and participate in a high level of baseball. All leagues are strongly encouraged to enter a team to facilitate the development of their future athletes. Eligible ages:
*9 year old athletes (2015) are able to compete in the 11U age category.
To maintain the developmental focus of these events, there will be no medals or awards handed out. Winning teams will not advance to inter-provincial competition, but may be re-seeded after the preliminary round(s) to maintain a competitive balance. Leagues can enter up to two teams (per age category) if they wish and are able to combine with other leagues if athletes are needed to make a team. Each team will play 3-4 games.
If your child is interested in participating in the Prospect Showcase, please complete the attached registration form prior to June 28th.
Registration fee per player will be $140, which includes a cap and jersey, and can be paid by e-transfer to treasurer@winnipegsouth.net . Please use password: Prospects when sending the e-transfer.
Please note registration is not complete until payment has been received.
Team coaches are still being finalized so opportunities may exist for parents to assist in coaching. Please contact Jamie Phibbs at vpsportdevelopment@winnipegsouth.net and indicate your interest in the applicable area of your child’s registration.
